The project uses GIS and spatial modelling to analyse and evaluate the use of biomass at state level. Spatially explicit configurations are to be analysed and optimized considering trade-offs between organization, intensity and impacts of biomass use and spatial economic targets. Using scenario technique alternative modes of production and chains of use (e.g. „short distance circuits“) are eval-uated by coupling different agent based models with evaluation schemes for economic and ecologi-cal parameters.
